The Central University established in Mahendragarh is the only central university in Haryana.
The Central University at Jant Pali in Mahendragarh district was established by former Union Human Resource Minister Shri Arjun Singh on the demand of Union Minister Shri Rao Inderjit Singh in the UPA government of the Congress, he had raised the old demand of establishing a Central University in the Mahendragarh Region.
