Rao Gujar Mal:
His younger brother Rao Bal Krishan was the commander of the Indian forces which fought against the foreign invasion of Nadirshah Irani.
   
The reigning Mughal Emperor honored Rao Gujar Singh with the title of Amir-ul-amra and Panch Hazari.
   
Rao Tej Singh (IV Successor):
In 1803 he supported Daulatrao Scindhia and Yashwantrao Holkar in their fight against the East India Company.
   
Rao Puran Singh:
He spent his entire life fighting the British domination.
   
Rao Tula Ram:
He was born on 9th December 1825. At the young age of 12 years, he was forced to take on the reigns due to his father’s early demise.
   
On the 20th of April 1857 he garnered support from the freedom fighters and the ruling class, to reinstate Bahadur Shah Zafar as the ruler of India.
   
On 10th May 1857 he started a revolt against the British in Meerut.
   
On 11th May 1857 with the help of the soldiers and the people of Meerut, Rao Tula Ram took over Delhi and helped reinstate Bahadur Shah Zafar as the ruler of India.
   
On 17th May 1857 Rao Tula Ram established swaraj in the Ahirwal-Mewat area.
   
On 16th November 1857, after the British overthrew and imprisoned Bahadur Shah Zafar, Rao Tula Ram along with the freedom fighters from Rajasthan and Haryana declared war against the British and fought valiantly against them in Nasibpur. Many of Tula Ram’s family members perished in this war.
   
In 1858 Rao Tula Ram joined Tantia Tope and Rani Laxmibai in their struggle against the British.
   
In March of 1860, Tula Ram was chosen to represent India and to garner support for our freedom struggle from the Czar of Russia and the Sultan of Iran. Both rulers pronounced Tula Ram royal guest upon meeting him.
   
Till 1863 Tula Ram roamed Western Europe and Asia gathering support for the Indian people. While retuning to India via Afghanistan, on 23rd September 1863, he succumbed to illness and passed away.
   
Rao Yudhisther:
He was born in July 1858.
   
He enrolled the youths of Ahirwal in the Bengal Cavalry.
   
Under the Guidance of Arya Smaaj leader Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, Yudhishter Singh established the first ever ‘Gaushala’ in Rampura, Rewari.
   
Rao Balbir Singh:
Rao Balbir Singh was a brave leader and a well known social reformer from Ahirwal. He was the founder of the Bhagwat Bhakti Ashram in Rampura, Rewari.
   
He established institutions for the upliftment of widows as well as schools for orphan children specially the girl child. He fought against untouchability and other social evils all his life.
   
Balbir Singh represented his area in the Joint Punjab Vidhan Parishad from 1920 till his death in 1941.
   
Rao Birender Singh:
Born on 20th February 1921 in the village of Nangal Pathani, he joined St Stephens College in 1942. After graduating he enrolled in the Indian National Army and fought in the Second World War.
   
He formed the Kisan-Mazdur party in 1952. This was the beginning of his political career.
   
Rao Birender Singh fought as an independent candidate in the Joint Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the 1st time in 1954 and successfully won.
   
He joined the Congress party in 1956 under the leadership of Pandit Nehru. He was inducted into the Pratap Singh Kairon Government and held charges of several Ministries like PWD, Irrigation and Power, Revenue and Consolidation etc.
   
From 1962 to 1966 he played a prominent role in establishing the Hindi speaking state of Haryana.
   
After the formation of Haryana in 1966, he was elected MLA from Pataudi constituency after serving as MLC (member of legislative council) for 12 years. He went on to become the 1st speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
   
On 23rd March 1967, he became the Chief Minister of Haryana.
   
In March of 1967, Rao Birender Singh established the Vishal Haryana Party.
   
He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1971 from the Mohindergarh constituency on the Vishal Haryana Party ticket. In 1978 he merged this party with the Congress.
   
In 1980, he played a prominent role in the formation of the Congress Government in the centre. He served as Cabinet Minister of Food, Agriculture, Rural development, Irrigation, Civil supply.
   
In 1985, he was elected MP and became a part of The Rajiv Gandhi Govt. He later gave in his resignation from both the Congress party and the Lok Sabha.
   
By his efforts Rewari was made a separate district in 1989.He fought the Lok Sabha seat from Mohindergarh on the Janata Dal ticket and became the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in the Chandra Shekhar Government.
   
Apart from his political service to the Nation Rao Birender Singh also served the backward areas of Ahirwal by establishing many educational institutions like Ahir College Rewari, RBS School-Rewari, Rao Tula Ram School- Rewari, Rao Tula Ram Technical College- Delhi. He is the founder of RBS College of Education- Rampura, Rewari.
